Yes it is, but I also tried connecting a second time, and the metadata was still not completed; should it be? I just tested again in case it was an anomaly, with a book which has page numbers and also a series, neither one was filled. I connected a third time and updated manually (with Kobo Utilities) and both are now displayed.

It should be enough just to connect, wait for Calibre to finish the tasks, then disconnect? No manual intervention needed?

Thanks for this warning I actually upgraded only 2 days ago, manually to 4.30, because I noticed some warnings in other threads. I only just recently had to completely redo my database after it became corrupted (with a lot of help from Davidfor) and I prefer to avoid having to do that again so I rather not risk any problems.
