Honestly the hyperbole around the bugs in this firmware is hilarious. There are so many easy steps to prevent them and a very easy step to reverse any damage done. And the damaging bug doesn’t seem to reliably trigger on any Kobo.
Can we please stop acting like you run the risk of your Kobo irrevocably bricking if you sideload using 4.31.

Why would you want to use 4.31 when 4.30 does work better and has less chance of causing problems? Plus with the patch to prevent WiFi firmware updates, you don't have to worry about syncing or using Pocket.
And for those who do want to keep WiFi off, the risk of it freezing on a reboot with no computer nearby is not a good thing.
Is there any reason to run 4.31 instead of 4.30?
