As someone who doesn't use much in the way of keyboard shortcuts either, I've never really seen the appeal of the clips bars. I just stack the Clips widget with the Book Browser (on the left) and have all of my clips accessible without needing to waste all of the menu real estate that the menubars do.
I definitely understand filling up the clips bars with clips for heavy keyboard shortcut users, though.
