So, due to being unable to download, I cancelled my subscription. I can still renew, but the price is no longer that cheap price.

Perhaps the whole thing is that one does not OWN the audiobook. It can be downloaded to listen to, but it cannot be kep on a computer as one's own purchase. (???) |
Plus catalog items can be downloaded on a mobile device for off-line listening in the Audible app, in the AAXC format.
They cannot be downloaded on the desktop in the AAX format
