Do you mind explaining what you mean by "download"? I'm sure I'm misunderstanding somehow. I'm on the Plus plan and I'm able to download audiobooks from the catalog to my devices, just as I normally do with the audiobooks I own. Everything works the same. If you get the Premium Plus subscription, the mechanics will still be the same.
Right now, I'm listening to 14 Audible audiobooks, 13 from the Plus catalog and one I own. And all of them are downloaded to my phone in the Audible app.
