Digging through all the readmes and FAQs, I found that the author suggests that on Linux the plugin doesn't find the key automatically. That is expected, really, since Adobe keeps actively sabotaging all efforts to make their software work under desktop GNU/Linux... So they suggest to use the plugin's config dialog to create a key from a working and registered ADE installation. So I took up the key from my working Windows installation, and the plugin doesn't show any errors about this key -- but still it fails to take off the DRM under both Windows and Linux, anyway.

So yeah... I guess I will have to register a github account, too, after all...
