If it corrupts the ini file, then it is widget geometry and position saving issue I think. You are sharing the settings between two different versions of Sigil to the same settings file.
So the last Sigil instance closed should overwrite the setting from all earlier ones.
But if the last one closed was on one monitor and you tried to create a new instance of Sigil on the other monitor, I think it is getting confused when it loads a MainWindow into the space of the other monitor.
Let's hope DiapDealer can recreate this and help track down what is going on.
