Thanks Frenzie ; that fixed it and rendering looks more readable especially on weird highlights like yellow and red on black text.

Upon launch however I see "Color rendering is mistakenly enabled on your grayscale device. this will subtly break some features, and adversely affect performance."

I hit ignore, but it seems that it gives me that message on every fresh launch of koreader, even after hitting ignore. Is there a way to permanently disable this check on startup?

or, more preferably:

is there a way to disable the grayscale rendering *on only one document*? most of the time whatever magic koreader is doing looks greatttt!
