I am hugely impressed with the depth of your knowledge, and your ability to understand a report like this.

I don’t think there’s anything special about my macOS install, but I’m running a system reinstall now for good luck.

I’ve managed to slowly install everything last night. But I’ll pick a set of books to remove and retry with the other driver.
