The User Guide PDF can be treated as a special case, see attached Windows screenshot. If you drag-drop it to
Code:
DriveLetter:\.kobo\guide\userguide.pdf
then you will be able to access it via the Kobo GUI, i.e.
More > Help > Other Resources User Guide

You will need to create the .kobo\guide subdirectory if it's not already there.
