Unhappy Two Sets on duplicate data on same instance of Calabri 64bit

I somehow achived the configuation of have 2 complete set of duplicate data on one instance of Calibri. Each data set has it's own horizontal scroll bar, but moving vertically both of the lines move in synch. I've tried to learn to live with it, but just cannot stand it anymore

There is vertical seperation between two sets of data that allows you to size each dataset (ie, make left side bigger which makes the right side smaller). I've unstalled several times, and worked one by one up the 5.xx versions tp to the current 5.38, wtih no joy

I've searched through the various Calibre forum but haven't seen the problem mentioned and/or solved. But, it could be like old King's Quest, where you have to use an exact set of words in your response.

Please help to put it back to the way it was so my mental ship can sail on untroubled waters again.

On Windows 8.1 (yes, I know, but want to finish a few things before diving into upgrade land). Every things else appears to be working just fine.
