Hi,
Just recently I am having trouble trying to run Calibre on my Windows 10 Home laptop. Been using Calibre for many years - really great. The error message I receive is:

calibre, version 5.38.0
ERROR: Contacting calibre failed: Failed to contact running instance of calibre, try restarting calibre

Failed to connect to Listener at: \\.\pipe\CalibreGUI-John_Mitchellx with error: QLocalSocket::connectToServer: Invalid name

b'launched:["calibre.exe"]'[/B][/FONT]

Eventually, after a number of tries, it does load and has no problems.
My laptop does have problems at times but does not normally have a problem with Calibre.
Are there any suggestions to help. Am running the latest Calibre Portable with all of the database on a 4Tb Portable drive.
