not to fault the op specifically, but i find that placing blame on a multi-capable device (whatever device it is) for distracting the user is misplaced. the only device that would qualify is one without wifi connectivity and that is rare. even the reMarkable, a device made with notetaking specifically in mind, has internet connectivity, primarily for syncing notes. but that does not disallow me from loading a book in pdf/epub format so that i could read if i got distracted from taking notes.
