Comics fail to page refresh with every turn

Hi.
I'm trying to read some comics on my kindle PW4 but I'm running into the following issues:

If I use Kindle Comic Converter software to convert cbz file to mobi and then try to run it, it doesn't refresh the page with every turn and therefore I'm left with ghosting which is quite annoying. (I have the option enabled and it refreshes every 4th page or so anyway)

If I use Calibre to do the same, it does refresh the page with every turn but I'm left with these somewhat annoying margins that are making the comic harder to read as the space is not fully utilized.

As far as I know, the files are both in mobi format, though KCC-generated mobi's allow me to zoom in on the comic and they seem to ignore Kindle's default margins, hiding the clock and the book progress bar. That's the only difference between them that I'm aware of, yet I have no idea why would the page refreshing not work as intended.

Ideally, I would want to have a comic that is scaled the way KCC does it, while simultaneously be able to refresh the screen on every page so that the images are clear.

As a side note, my friend has a PW5 and the pages refresh just fine there.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
