It sounds like a scam. I've never heard of any "compliant" problems. The BE is worth less money than a Version 2 (they sell for $100 less). It sounds like the seller got you to bid thinking you were getting the more expensive v2, but is trying to give you a BE instead. That's basically a "bait and switch" scam.
