The effort involved is appreciated, but I made the point to one member privately that it’s difficult to enforce the guidelines if we’re not consistent and I couldn’t blame them if now they felt aggrieved, as this is a case in point. So with that in mind, I’d like to ask everyone, please, in this sticky thread, don’t recommend a self-pubbed book unless it’s been trad-pubbed before or if you’ve read it and can personally recommend it. No exceptions from now on, even for kitties or lots of five-star reviews or the finger of god. If a self-pubbed book seems irresistible, you can always recommend it below the line, or even start a thread for self-pubbed finds/deals. Thanks.
