This is not really a question, rather a glitch I've noticed when converting PDF files.
If the text contains - * * *
The conversion skips a bit resulting in bare text in the epub.
ie:
<p class="calibre1">He quickly wrote her a note, grabbed a jacket, and slipped down the stairs, out into the night. </p><p class="calibre1">
</p><p class="calibre7">* * * </p>
The evening air felt cool and clean. He thrust his hands in the pockets of his old field jacket and began to walk quickly through the hybrid neighborhood, heading roughly northeast. <p class="calibre1"></p>
If you notice, the line following the * * * divider has the format after the text rather than before.
I have found this happening in numerous conversions, so it has something to do with the conversion, not the PDF.
