OK I'll go through this again. I created a Jailbreak on my DXG years ago but have forgotten what I did exactly. I'd like to get the Whispersync to work again, but am not sure what to do, and the instructions are *really confusing*. I downloaded the kindle-jailbreak-0.13.N-r18833 file. The instructions seem to indicate that I should not use the update file labelled "Update_jailbreak_0.13.N_dxg_install.bin", although they say that's not for FW 3.0 to 3.2 and strictly speaking 3.2.1 is *above* 3.2. Anyway it appears that I should use the file labelled "Update_jailbreak_0.13.N_k3gb-3.0-to-3.2_install.bin" instead?

Next, since I apparently already have a Jailbreak on this device, is there any way to determine *which* version I have now, before the update, and also which packages I might have already installed? Here's a list of the folders in my main directory:

Quote:
.active-content-data
audible
custompudates
documents
extensions
kindlepdfviewer [Probably a package I installed?]
kite
launchpad
liberator
music
Are there uninstallers I should run before updating? (There is no "Update_jailbreak_0.13.N_k3gb-3.0-to-3.2_uninstall.bin")

Finally, I do have an Update for Kindle DXG to Firmware 3.4.2 which is "update_k3g-3.4.2-create_updater.bin" but I don't know if I should use it. I vaguely recall that this is intended to be used if I wipe out the entire system and install an original DXG firmware without the Jailbreak (which I'm not sure I can do). What would happen if I dropped the 3.4.2 Update in the main directory and just updated? Would it brick everything?
