They basically ruined it and there is no way to go back to how it was. Using "Library" view and setting it to "List" view will give text only, no icons, with 5 titles per page. Using "Library" view and setting it to "Grid" view will show book covers but will show 6 books per page. Using "Home" view just gives a mess. Your only option is really to choose whichever ignorant messed up view is less annoying and hope they give us the option to revert in a future unwanted update.
