I decided to roll the dice on a Sage and see how the battery is with *my* reading habits and if it's enough to satisfy me. I wanted to keep with the 8" screen (so hard to think about going smaller after having the 8" for over a year now). I don't care about note-taking or audio books or highlighting or annotating or anything but reading.
Worst case scenario, the Sage sucks and I'm on the hunt again and maybe something better will come along.

Although the battery of the Sage underperforms that of the Forma, it is not as drastic as many here claim it to be, IMO. (Especially from those who don't own a Sage) Would I like it to maintain a charge at the same rate as my Forma? Absolutely, but the difference is not enough to affect my enjoyment or hours of reading. For me, it equates to around 5% per hour and I am not bothered by that. The display is outstanding and personally I favor its color and contrast over the Libra 2. Like you, I also prefer the 8" display, perfect for me.
Enjoy your Sage.
