I think I have between 100 and 200 eBooks on my Libra 2. I cannot say for sure right now. But I also don't see the need for thousands of eBooks. To me, that would make it much more difficult to find what I want to read. And if you just send the eBooks to the Kobo without making sure they are formatted in a way that works for you, then you have a lot of eBooks that you won't like the way they look.

If the eBook has a pBook version, the cover is the image used for the pBook cover and not some bland cover used when the publisher isn't willing to use the real cover image.
It looks much better having a proper cover image when viewing covers.
