The only thing I've found counterintuitive is the new multi-file wrap behaviour you talk about in post 49 of this thread and then add a bit more detail in post 72. Often (almost always?) my workflow is to search for something and expect the search to cycle forever while there are still matches. The new behaviour of stopping at the original reset/restart position means I'm having to conciously hit the Restart button to make sure I haven't missed anything. I'm now more likely to miss things than less likely. I think what I want is effectively no Restart button or starting resource position memory?

I may well be in the minority here. I suspect it may be a global user preference and not a per search preference as well? Could this "disable Restart" be handled as a preference rather than yet another button in the FR panel?
If you are in the minority, then so am I. My preferred behavior is for the search to cycle forever while there are still matches, but it sounds like this is not possible. So I am currently training myself to enter the search criteria, click the "Find" button, and when I reach the point where it says "No Matches Found" then click "Restart" and run the search again to see if I missed something. It's a bit of a PITA but at least the search begins at the current position and doesn't take me to some faraway file. I am still not quite sure how F&R determines that the search criteria is new, so I find myself clicking on "Restart" a LOT (not just at the end of a search), to satisfy myself that I haven't misunderstood that "No Matches Found" doesn't really mean No Matches Found.

I hope that Kevin can figure out a way to allow searches to cycle forever while there are still matches, but if it's just not feasible, then I will have to be satisfied with clicking on "Restart" at the beginning and end of every search to make sure I haven't missed something. I agree that I am much more likely to miss matches now than with the old method.
