Earlier this week I took my first proper walk since running Christmas errands on December 24. I've been getting cabin fever for a while now, and Wednesday was a gloriously beautiful day and my back wasn't feeling too bad.

I wore a thicker cardigan, a scarf and a warmer jacket than two months ago. And I didn't sweat or was out of breath for a while after. I did walk a little bit slower, I didn't want to overdo it too much for my back. But still. My average and top heart rate were also lower than when I had the (chronic) pancreatitis.

Most people don't understand that the excessive sweating wasn't just an annoyance but something very frustrating and shameful.

I did overdo it a little bit, yesterday my back was more sore than it has been for a while. But it was worth is. From tomorrow we're going to get nice weather for while. On Sunday my preferred walking route will be busy, but on Monday it's usually quiet in the city and the weather will be perfect for a walk. Hopefully spring will arrive soon, and I can get out on my bike instead of the home trainer, that getting boring.
