It’s not going to fix itself.
If you are not willing to try Reset, then I think the only option is to live with it as it is indefinitely, since there’s no guarantee that an update will fix it.
- if you want to continue to use Collections view, then you need to add Uncollected titles to a collection so you can open them from a collection. Switch to List or Grid view, find them there, add them to a collection of your choosing, and then switch back to Collections view.
- alternatively, just use List or Grid view. You can set the Collections setting (Settings, Device Options, Advanced Options, Home & Library, Collections) to include collections mixed in with books in those views, using either the Show favorites or Show all option.
- you can continue to engage Customer Support, of course, and maybe request someone who is more of a Kindle specialist, and they could (with your permission) get device logs that could help identify a root cause. The ‘first responders’ are not always well-equipped to help with edge cases like yours.
