Hello,

my pregnant wife is studying linguistics and I can't have her carrying all those heavy books and journals anymore. So I decided to buy her an ebook reader and am now using calibre to convert all the books and articles she has from University from PDF to MOBI format so she can change the text size etc if she likes.

For most of the files it works well, but there are some PDF where it correctly converts into MOBI text, but also has the PDF page. So it's the page from the original document and then the whole text from that PDF again but in the standard mobi format, then another original document page again and then the text again etcetc. It's not a big deal cause she can just skip a page once in a while but I'd like to know if there's maybe something I'm doing wrong when converting.

And before you ask, it is all 100% legal and actually encouraged by her digitalization department. They even asked whether they can get the files themselves afterwards (which is another reason why I'd like to do it correctly).
