He wouldn't have to do anything with the battery (the new battery is, I assume, already installed). Just remove the top panel, take out four screws and slide the case back off and back on. Replace the four screws and the top panel (unless the replacement battery was too thick, or something like that, which kept the case from sliding on properly).
