Custom columns: Series like
Be warned, this is a rabbit hole to fall into.

great for a book with 2 (main) series. What do you do when you get an Anthology or Collection that has more than 2? BLOAT your DB for a couple of books?
I use a combination.
I make Series Hierarchical
Pern.Dragonriders
Pern.Harper Hall
That covers a sub series (that I treat as Primary, with the order). They still belong to 'Pern", but I lose the placement in the overall (Not that OCD

)
I also use this for when Series 1 interacts with Series 2 (JA Jance does this a lot)
If there is only that, I can make an entry in the Alt-Series column
BUT when there are more than 2 Entries??
The main series gets set to
<Various> (by various Authors) or <Various by Author> (A sampler or boxed set)
Just leave notes in comments (those are searchable, but will not be treated as a series)
