I didn't see this before replying to a PM, so I'll put the reply here as well...

The power LED should turn blue when the device comes on, then flash green for a few seconds and then the screen should change. I think the blue after the green means it is turning off. I don't know what is happening. I think the blue light might come one when the device is turning off. And you could get that pattern off lights if the battery does not have enough power to run the device. Have you charged it? Or have you tried starting the device when it is plugged in.

You can also try doing a factory reset as the device starts. It shouldn't be needed, but, it seems to fix some issues after using an image. The instructions are on https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/artic...our-Kobo-Touch.
