Thank you for the help. I didn't manage to fix it , I am sending my kobo back to them tomorrow and getting a replacement .

All I can say is that I don't have a great sentimental value with this kobo yet , if this was my kindle touch i would rather keep my broken device.
Gotta survive on an other ereader for the time being
