Send content from URL to kindle

Ok, so suppose I'm reading a page online on my phone/laptop and decide I want to read it on my kindle. What's the easiest way of making this happen? I know the kindle has a browser but I'd have to type in the url. I've configured calibre to email stuff to my kindle, and i know that you can configure recipes which need .rss but support there's no .rss for a page. Suppose calibre is running on a server on my network. Is there some way of sending calibre a url and say either "grab this, produce a file and email that file to the kindle" or just "send this url to the kindle to open in the browser"? I expect the email thing requires content so perhaps the first option is the most sensible one.
