Hey,
you lot are the ones with the wierd languages.
(What's wrong with "bin" anyway?)

Giggle. I had to look that up, something I'm always fond of, as it adds to the "bin" of probably-useless-but-you-never-know facts that I tend to fill my head with.

My pleasure. It's always nice to see affable folk like yourself joining in and becoming instantly part of the community.

I have noticed the Kindle since I order books from Amazon and I have begun to research on the different e-readers.
First,I want to find out out the differences between e-readers and availability of books for the different platforms of e readers.
I can use all the insight and suggestions you veterans have.

A good place to start is as MobileRead's
wiki (<---linky), and particularly the
ebook reader matrix (<---another linky) which gives an excellent, overall comparison of most of the devices available. From there, you can dive into more specific information and, of course, ask questions in the relevant area of the forums.
Speaking of which, awake, I'd suggest you start your own thread in the "
Introduce Yourself" (<---linky) section of the forum. If you go there, you'll see the "
New Thread" button where you can do so. I only suggest it because you're more likely to get a more personal welcome than if you introduce yourself within someone else's introduction thread (not that there's anything wrong with that, of course

).
[and I just noticed that you've just done exactly that, but I'll leave this bit here in case other newcomers happen to wander by]
Cheers,
Marc
