The interaction between the power cover battery and the Sage's takes some getting used to, but I wouldn't call it useless. If both are fully charged to 100% the cover drains completely first. If both are partly charged, the cover charges the Sage up a bit until it drains, unless the Sage gets to 100% before that happens.

I like the look and feel of the cover also. It's overpriced for what it is, of course, though so is every official Kobo (and Kindle) cover.
