For me Prime is a money saver. I do buy quite a lot of items from Amazon. The main reason, most of the stores in my area do not carry the items I want to purchase. I live in a small town and the selections the stores carry are not what I want. And even the department stores look more like discount stores than anything else. They looked like this long before covid. Wal Mart is the busiest store around here and they tend to carry lower quality items.
Throw in Prime Streaming Movies, TV Shows and Music and Prime is a good deal.
