1. Just reporting a problem with the latest
Calibre User manual. All the apostrophes are missing in contractions. So I'll has become Ill, We'll has become Well, You'll — Youll; and so on.
2. I'd like to suggest reducing the margins and increasing the font-size of text in the manual. Not everyone can cope with the font-size at 100% and increasing the zoom widens the page and makes for an uncomfortable read.
3. I would also like to suggest shortening the manual to around 100 or so pages, and aiming it fairly and squarely at the average user, with separate user guides for advanced users (on Python programming etc.) This would make the main manual easier to index (which is missing at the moment). Consider, also, reducing the size and number of images in favour of body text, and reducing the amount of blank space.
4. Make a .odt version of the manual available for download (like LibreOffice) so that users can customize it to their requirements.
