I don’t know if I’m missing something, but why is this “dreaded”? Windows does this when you connect any sort of external hard drive type device to it. It’s normal. I just close the window. I don’t want it to scan and I know there’s nothing wrong with it. Close that window and get to doing what I wanted to do when connecting it to my PC, just put books on it. *shrugs*
