Unfortunately none of these apps work fine on any onyx device. That's because they are not optimized for eink screens.
Onyx Boox has an SDK that 3rd party apps can use to reduce the stylus lag and make the app usable. AFAIK none of the big apps (onenote, nebo, noteshelf, evernote...) are using the sdk.
No much development of home aficionados either. Just this one in github:
