Most of the Linux repositories have a version of calibre available. Some have outdated versions (one I recently looked at is still offering 3.41), some have beta versions as in the beta for calibre 5 you are showing. Unless you have someone involved with the repository who actually cares about calibre (Arch Linux for one example), it is generally best to use the version from the calibre site.
