Wetdogeared: Yes, the Rebus books are very popular here, which is not surprising. And Edinburgh is a great city. Try and make it sometime. I have to say that I also like Vancouver. I could almost imagine living there myself.
Curly: I occasionally go hill-walking in the Ochils, although the Pentlands is my usual beat. I certainly like the idea of a meet-up at the Book Fest. I usually visit it at least once a year, if only to wonder around and enjoy the atmosphere. It's easy for me as I'm only 15 minutes walk from Charlotte Square.
