Unless you have a recent backup of the database, The fix is to sign out of the Kobo account and then back in. That will remove the current database and create a new one. Unfortunately, you will lose the reading status and annotations for sideloaded books.

Thanks for the good information. I did a factory reset and reconnected and then sideloaded all the original books and appears working again. I did see Caibre complained about the database and cold not connect when faulty.
Pity keep loosing reading stats but at lease basic functions all good now.
