Only just started Wanderers, Kings, Merchants: The Story of India through Its Languages by Peggy Mohan, but already 5% in it's looking good - a popsci book that leans heavily toward sci rather than pop. Some interesting analyses of creoles have set the tone for what's to come, I hope.
