@Deobulakenyo: The issue was just for context. What you describe is eerily similar to the update patterns causing issues there, *and* your workaround is also similar!

Being familiar with both projects and Mk. 7 EPDC quirks, I can fairly confidently say, that, yes, it is in fact the same issue
