You are correct Calibre defaults to the spsd folder. But you can change the default folder in Calibre while the Nook is connected in MTP mode. This sounds like the way I would go. I've never been that impressed with Android eBook apps. Just to confirm, if you change the folder for this particular device -- it wouldn't affect any other devices that use Calibre, would it?
