Amazon orders have generally worked out well for me. But not this time. Yesterday I saw that they had Fire Tablets 50% off. Didn't really need one, but it seemed a good time to upgrade my previous gen hd 8 tablet. So I did the trade in, then ordered blue HD 8 tablet and case. They changed trade ins. Before you got 20% off and $25 for a good device right away. But not now, they have to receive the device first. No big deal, the device was already seriously marked down and I would just use the gift card $25 for something else. But today my new tablet says delivery date of March 10th. Seriously. Yet it still shows the device in stock on the web site. I call Amazon and they have zero Fire hd 8 tablets in stock in any color. Nor do they have the hd 8 plus, as I was willing to get it instead. Luckily they had not received my tablet trade in yet, and I cancelled it. Hopefully it won't take forever to get it back
The blue Fire Tablet hd 8 still says in stock as I write this.
Hopefully others will realize these fire tablets that are priced so well right now are not going to get to them for 2 months or longer.
