I saw that once, but it was for a layout-heavy book that likely would've looked weird as an ePub anyways.
Semi-related, but Open Library's mostly moved to 1-hour loans, which can only be read in browser. No more downloads for sideloading. The 14-day loan is now only available if they have multiple copies of the exact same edition, which is annoyingly arbitrary. I suspect it's related to the lawsuit from the publishers.
