The battery issue is mostly non fixable. IIRC kobo/nickel workarounds it by sleeping all cpu cores between page turns. Maybe NiLuJe attempts to do the same in KOReader (we already do that in Pocketbooks) but that's not being worked on at the moment.
Why is the Libra 2 having issues crashing if the processor used is battle tested?
