I also get it often, and I only have side-loaded books. I'll have to pay attention to when I get it next and record the date, now I'm curious what the pattern is.

I keep my camera reference books on my reader, so those always pop up as partially read and not used for awhile. I find the message annoying as well, so after my curiosity is satisfied about how often it pops up, I'll add in davidfor's lines to stop it for awhile.
