The problem is definitely fixed on mine now. Been reading 3-4 days and it's dropped all of 10-15%. (I've been reading a fair bit)

Minus someone actually hacking/disassembling the software I'm somewhat skeptical the battery calibration routines actually do anything, though maybe they do, reading the logs it does appear Amazon has tried to put some kinds of "trampoline" in the software to detect issues, and maybe one of these processes would kick the trampoline.

I've had a ton of Kindles.. DX-G, 2 Paperwhites, Voyage, Oasis 1, and this Oasis 2. I've never ever had anything weird happen with battery issues until this Oasis 2.

I was a serial upgrader till this one. I do want one with a warm front light but it's seemingly not enough to get me to upgrade. If/when whispersync is killed maybe that's going to kick me to upgrade. My Oasis 2 does have the 3G stuff.
