Twenty four short stories of occult detective Astro the Seer. The book was published in 1912, without an author's name. However, the introduction contained a discussion of ciphers, and several stories included acrostics; an astute reader could work out that the first letters of all 24 stories gave the author's name; and an even more astute reader could work out that the last letters of all 24 stories contained an author's comment.
The book came with some illustrations, but the artist/s are still in copyright, so their work has been omitted.
