I just need to know if I'm on the right track.

I have a new MI iMac running Big Sur. I'm still running an OLD Calibre (version 1.45--saw no need to upgrade because it did all I needed). I have Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 on my computers but it obviously doesn't run. I also still have an older iMac running High Sierra.

1). Will I be able to get up and running with my old DeDRM if I am just able to get ADE 2.0 to run? Or do I basically have to start over by reinstalling the newest version of DeDRM and plugins from scratch?

2) I don't know how to run the older version of ADE on my computer. It tells me a newer version is available. How do I get around that?

I don't mind reading and researching the how to's, but if it's gotten to be over my head, I may just leave well enough alone. I’ve printed out the README files for the plugin. Hopefully it will jar my memory on how I installed it before. Is my best bet to register and ask questions on the github site? I don’t want to step on any toes here.

I appreciate any help you can provide or if you can point me to any resources that would be helpful.

Christine
To run ADE on your new Mac, you will need to update to a 64 bit version of ADE. You will also need to update your version of calibre since both the new DeDRM and DeACSM plugins require calibre 5 or higher.

I only run virtual Macs for testing various things but one co-worker is using calibre 5.34 with nodrm's latest version of DeDRM from the link in the first message in this thread and the DeACSM plugin so he can import the .ascm files directly into calibre without needing ADE.
