Kobo makes it very easy to borrow Overdrive books. Once you set up your library overdrive account (login) the Overdrive books show up in your Kobo store (you use the Overdrive filter). The requirement is that the ISBN number in the Kobo store and the library must match. If they don't you'll need to borrow the book via ADE (or the DeASCM plugin in Calibre for me, since I use Linux). I bring this up because it does happen sometimes -- but it hasn't happened to me yet, so I don't know how common this issue is.
